ONE NIGHT ONLY · SOFTWARE ENGINEER

KRISH
MURJANI

Masters in Computer Science at NYU. I build things people step inside — spatial computing on Vision Pro, retrieval systems that actually answer, computer vision that reads a heartbeat off a webcam. None of it is about music. All of it was built with a record on.

VIDA RESEARCH CENTER
Research Intern · Visualization & Data Analytics Research Center, NYU
  • Architected a visionOS app in Swift walking a 7-stage chip design workflow in interactive 3D on Apple Vision Pro — ARKit + RealityKit rendering manipulable hardware models at 60fps with sub-100ms latency.
  • Engineered VR training modules for 9 nanofabrication processes (lithography, etching) on a reusable scene composition system — 40% less per-module build time, and educators configure simulations without touching code.

  • Built front and back end for 10+ home automation systems — 40% faster API responses across lighting, HVAC and AV.
  • Shipped 6+ protocol integrations (Zigbee, Z-Wave, MQTT) and 5 reusable components, cutting codebase complexity 25%.
  • Automated 60% of manual workflows, dropping deployment from 3 hours to 35 minutes.

  • Designed a VR-enabled checkout for rental leasing — +45% engagement, 35% less apartment viewing time, 2,000+ MAU.
  • Programmed a 6-feature VR overlay (furniture interaction, video embeds, deposits) with lazy loading and caching — 250+ transactions processed.
  • Architected end-to-end REST APIs with Node.js and Express — JWT authentication and MongoDB schemas across the full application lifecycle.

PARACHUTE — MULTI-AGENT IDE

A browser-based collaborative IDE: multi-user real-time editing on Yjs CRDTs over WebSocket with live cursor presence, Monaco with full IntelliSense, an xterm.js + node-pty terminal — and an Orchestrator AI layer (file locking, MD5 conflict detection, 3-tier agent flow) keeping concurrent agents out of each other's way. Dockerised, deployed to Fly.io.

LINER NOTES

I got into engineering the same way I got into records — by taking something apart to find out why it works. A good album and a good system have the same shape: a strong opening, layers you only notice on the third pass, and nothing in there that isn't earning its place.

Right now I'm building VR training tools for chip design at VIDA, fresh off a Masters in CS at NYU. Before that: home automation in Mumbai, VR leasing in New York. I care most about interfaces that make hard things feel physical — a heart rate you can see, a fabrication process you can walk through, documentation that answers back.

B-SIDE

Crate-digging, live shows around the city, and an ongoing argument about whether the mastering ruined the reissue. Ask me about it — it's the fastest way to get a long answer out of me.
